Paraiso Escondido (Hidden Paradise) is a quiet, traditional neighborhood in the La Colonia section of the city of La Peñita de Jaltemba. We are a 45 peso cab ride to the center of La Peñita with it’s many restaurants, live music, boutique hotels and weekly farmers market. Or take one of the frequent town busses that circulate just a couple blocks away. Casa Gemma is less than a 5 minute walk to the beach via a neighborhood bridge. The immediate neighborhood offers local Mexican options for everything from handmade tortillas and tequila to fresh produce and daily caught seafood. We even have a butcher shop, doctor and pharmacy. A larger grocery store and restaurant with a juice bar is just a 10 minute walk away.
