Redleaf Carriage 1238 - farm stay

Experience a romantic and unique s/c farm stay in a 1920's train carriage on Redleaf Farm.

A small working farm adjacent to state forest, Redleaf Farm is an ideal getaway. Organic free range eggs, piglets, sheep, Highland cattle, fowl and horses. Mountain bike and hiking trails, waterfall and scenic countryside.

The space

The Carriage 1238 has a king bed 'compartment', a bunk room 'compartment' with up to 3 singles, a sitting room 'compartment' and a dining room and kitchen. There is a shower at one end and a toilet at the other. An outdoor deck provides a lovely farm vista.

The corridors and spaces are narrow and the bed is the entire 'room', so access is not the easiest for older or larger people, or those with limited mobility.

Kitchen provides cooking facilities and a fridge.

There is limited telephone coverage in our area (telstra only).

Guest access

Carriage 1238 is close to our home but very private. You will need to drive through a paddock and several gates to access Carriage 1238.

Carriage 1238 is self contained and we are here to help you have an 'escape' to cherish.

Other things to note

You will be staying on a working family farm. Gates must be closed!

Water is a commodity we value in the country. Short showers only!

You may encounter farm animals, native animals and wildlife. If seeing a field mouse or spider is going to freak you out, then this is not for you.

Barbecue area and fire pit by the creek is available dependent on fire bans.

It is a 1920's train, not well insulated. It is COLD, bring WARM CLOTHES.

Unplug.

Unwind.

We have limited phone reception. No TV. No internet.
