We have 56ha of gently sloping land on the banks of the Avon River 10 mins drive south of York in the beautiful Avon Valley in Western Australia. There is plenty to do on the farm, but our main aim is for our guests to relax away from the hustle and bustle of the city. Enjoy wonderful walks along the river bank or sandalwood plantation, or simply relax and enjoy the peace of the country. With clear skies the star show at night is spectacular.
Two small cottages have been created to cater for those quiet getaways for couples. Both have queen beds and ensuite bathrooms. As fire wood has become increasingly difficult to buy, an electric heater, with a thermostat is now provided. There is evaporative air conditioning in summer.
Rose Cottage has an Old English theme with climbing roses and a sunny patio with outdoor setting and BBQ. Beautiful views of the nearby hills. Although smaller than our other cottages, there is a well set up kitchen with dining area and lounge room, TV, DVD player.
The Orchard Chalet is closer to our Bali Hai Bungalow if you have a larger family group. The veranda offers country views, and plenty of room for the outdoor setting and BBQ.
These cottages provide a quiet retreat for couples. The kitchens have full stoves with ovens and lots of pots and pans and crockery etc. to make each other some very romantic dinners. We do not recommend these cottages for children as there are certain features which have not been “Child Proofed”.
