The space

Designed by SAOTA, with interiors by ARRCC, this is a luxury escape that enhances the potential of a barefoot holiday lifestyle in a spectacular natural setting. Daily living takes place on the upper level. The kitchen, living and dining area and rim flow lap pool in a wind free courtyard, all occupy one huge open space that redefines indoor outdoor living. This is where you’ll be chilling out on the sofas, cooking, soaking up the sun and fun around the pool, playing games, reading or watching TV. The kitchen is fabulously kitted out.

Granite prep counter tops, fridge/freezer, separate scullery with dishwasher and 12 seater rustic wooden refectory table makes it a dining pleasure to entertain family and friends.

The dune setting of this fabulous thatch roofed luxury villa slopes down to a pristine empty beach on Stompneus Baai, one of the West Coasts best kept secrets. Not only is it secluded, but tidal rock pools and large granite boulders in the shallows make it a perfect recreational beach for paddling and exploring the shore.

Spectacular views across Stompneus and St Helena Bay and the mountains beyond. Sea facing sliding glass doors - whether open or closed - reveal miles of natural beauty and a panorama of ever changing silver-blue sea scenery including dolphins, whales, migrating birds and fishing boats from an elevated vantage point.

Other things to note

1. ARRIVAL AND DEPARTURE:-

a) The accommodation is available from 14h00 on the day of arrival. Guests are to confirm their estimated time of arrival.

b) On arrival, guests are to sign in at the security gate/boom.

Should you wish to arrive later than 17h00; prior arrangement needs to be made.

c) The property manager or host will meet you at the house for a short tour and key handover.

d) Once the keys have been handed over guests may come and go as they please.

e) The accommodation must be vacated by 10h00 on the day of departure.

f) Late departure may be arranged, only if booking schedule permits.

g) Guests shall be held liable for any incidents at the property should the keys not be strictly handed over to the property manager or host.

h) On departure, please ensure that the villa is properly locked up and the burglar alarm is activated. Kindly arrange with the house manager to hand over the key and the remote.

2. OCCUPANCY:-

a) The number of persons occupying the property is not to exceed the maximum number stated in the property description or as stipulated at the time of making the reservation as per the booking form and invoice. Should the number of people exceed the number stated, you will be charged, or excess guests will be asked to leave.

b) Only guests whose name appear on the invoice will be permitted at the Guest House premises. Any unauthorised persons that was not originally booked and paid for will be fined at a premium rate of R1500 per person.

c) You will find a selection of attractions, activities, services and facilities within the surrounding areas, which are detailed in our guest instruction manual, which is placed inside the villa.

d) All guests must act in a reasonable manner and have consideration for the neighbours in the area. The proprietors reserve the right to terminate the let of the property if in the event that the guests or any person/s occupying the property, causes a disturbance or nuisance that may upset the peace and tranquility within the neighbourhood.

e) Music and noise levels are to be kept down to a level that is acceptable to all residents within the area and the development.

3. PETS AND SMOKING POLICY:-

a) Silver Bay Villa is a non-smoking establishment. We request smokers to make use of ashtrays and “bud buckets” outside at all times.

b) NO candles are permitted at the Silver Bay Villa.

c) Unfortunately no pets are allowed.

4. PROPERTY SAFETY AND SECURITY:-

a) Unauthorised persons/visitors are not allowed on the premises.

b) Please lock all doors during the day and during the night.

c) Ensure that the garage door is closed and locked at all times.

d) The property’s security alarm is to be activated whenever the property is left unoccupied.

e) Guests are to adopt vigilance and due care when occupying the property and will be briefed on the property security measure upon arrival.

f) The proprietors cannot accept liability for any loss or damage to person .

5. UNAVAILABILITY OF PROPERTY:-

a) In the event, that the property is not available for use during the rental term due to reasons, events or circumstances beyond the control of the proprietors and the property manager. The manager will apply due diligence and good faith efforts to locate a replacement property that equals the property with respect to occupancy capacity, location and value that meets reasonable satisfaction of the guest. If such replacement property cannot be found, all payments made by the guest shall be refunded, whereupon the rental agreement shall be terminated. The guest and proprietors shall have no further obligations or liabilities in any manner pertaining to this agreement.

6. MUNICIPAL SERVICES:-

a) If municipal electricity or water services are disrupted to the property, the guest shall immediately notify the property manager or host of such circumstance and all efforts will be made to restore such services.

b) Should the event be beyond the reasonable control of the proprietors and property manager, whereby it effects the entire neighbourhood or region, the guest shall hold the proprietors and property manager harmless against any claims because of the extenuation circumstance.

c) Reasonable compensation for services disruption during occupancy may be considered at the discretion of the proprietors or property manager.

7. BREAKAGES:-

a) The guest and all persons occupying the premises, undertake to keep all furniture, all soft furnishings, fixtures and fittings and all other electrical items in and around the premises in the same state and condition as at the commencement of their stay.

b) Guests undertake to leave the house in the state of cleanliness as when they arrived.

c) Any tampering or interference with the TV and DStv settings, wiring or rewiring of the amplifier will result in a call out charge.

d) Kindly report any or all damages and breakages that may have occurred during your stay.

e) The proprietors of Silver Bay Villa shall be compensated by the guest / applicant for any damages and breakages as well as any excess cleaning that is required. Sole interpretation in the event will be made by the proprietors and the property manager.
