Rykovski Lodge it is a newly decorated 1 bedroom apartment, with a double bed in the bedroom and a settee and chair in the living room. It is set in beautiful forest area and Pine trees all around. There is a ski run near the apartment about a mile or so. The complex has a VW transporter which will take you to the ski run from about 8am to 4pm. Please check with the resort for service schedule.

The Rhodope mountains offer a challenging climb for outdoor enthusiasts with sharp ascend and descend. The highest peak being the Snezhanka peak which is 1,928 M. This peak is several hundred meters above the resort and hosts the Snezhanka tower. The resort is in the Southern Rhodope mountains at an altitude of 1.620 M above sea level.
Pamporovo is approximately 260 km from the capital city Sofia; 85 km from Plodiv (nearest airport) 15 km North of Smolyan and 10 km South of Chepelare.
The resort has 55 km of ski runs, also 38 km of cross-country skiing tracks. This is all served by 18 lifts with a total capacity of 13,000 people per hour.
To ensure a comfortable and enjoyable skiing experience, there are seven snow levelling machines and snow cannons, which are used when snow fall is light. There are more than 100 highly qualified ski instructors, fluent in various languages to help beginners and intermediate skiers as well as snowboarders.
There have been some new runs added and another chairlift in operation servicing the new Stoylite ski runs. Winters are moderately cold in Pamporovo in January at -3 c.
The border to Northern Greece is only half an hour by car, so for a relatively short drive you can visit Northern Greece for swimming in the sea!
