IL FORNO A 1-bedroom cottage with outdoor space
This is where the old bakery used to be for the farmers and their workers. It has been transformed into the loveliest little 1-bedroom ground-floor cottage with views over our olive trees, and the forests and vineyards beyond.
You have your own out-door space that you can use for your al-fresco breakfast in the sun. The apartment still has the original oiled chestnut beams and terracotta tiles. There is a small open-plan kitchen, dining area and living space, a bedroom with a double bed, and a small but functional bathroom with w/c, shower and basin. It also has its own antique terracotta wood-burning stove for those autumn evenings if it gets a bit chilly*.
This cottage apartment is very picture-postcard Tuscan, quite small, but well laid-out. We have guests who come back to stay in Forno time after time.

* During the chilly seasons there is no central heating in Forno, but the lovely little wood burner throws out a lot of heat when it gets going.
