The Retreat is a former convent close to the local pub / restaurant and essential shops and services. You’ll love it because of the location, right on the sand beachfront of Forrest Beach and enjoying the beautiful Coral Sea and views of Orpheus Island and the Palm Island group. The beach is patrolled and features stinger net protection during the summer months.

The house is perfect for children, families and groups wanting to enjoy all the attractions of Far North Queensland.

The space is a very large house 3 stories on the beach with free wifi, a BBQ area, kitchen, dining room and a large screen tv. There is also a pool table for extra entertainment.

Fishing is excellent off the beachfront, and there are 2 local boat ramps with additional fishing spot south of Cassiday Creek. Crabbing is especially good at Forrest Beach.

There are plenty of amenities in the town including a supermarket, deli, hair dresser, chemist and doctors surgery. Forrest Beach has a number of shops and services to meet the needs of both travelers and locals. The township boasts a SPAR Supermarket, with a small deli, fresh fruit and vegetables and all the essentials. Forrest Beach also has a news agency, chemist and doctors surgery.
